Why not just buy a regular, inexpensive fountain and put water in it?

I personally had an inexpensive bird bath fountain years ago and, although it was attractive, it was a pain to take care of. It was hard to clean since it was heavy and I had to tip it as far as possible to get rid of the filthy water. Then I had to take a hose to it to get rid of the dirt in the bottom of the bird bath.

Since the water did not circulate, and I wasn’t very timely in keeping it clean, the bird bath fountain got that slick scum coating that I actually had to scrub off. When I was really bad, mosquitoes would develop.

I finally gave up, emptied it, and that was it for my bird bath.

Installing a circulating water fountain in your garden, deck or patio will keep the water moving to avoid scum and mosquitoes. It will add incredible beauty, peace and tranquility with the sound of running water for you and your bird watching friends.

At the same time, a circulating water fountain can be incredibly expensive and time consuming to install. Not only do you have to run a water line and electricity to the area you want to place your bird bath water fountain in, you have to buy the bird bath, then pay the increased water and electric bill each month.

The perfect solution to the initial and monthly expense, and an environmentally sound decision, is to install a circulating solar bird bath fountain. Solar bird bath fountains will give you that same beauty, peace and tranquility, but are so much easier to install, and have no monthly operating costs. All you need to do is set the fountain in a sunny location and add water. That’s it!

The water pump included with the solar fountain is powered by a solar panel, which is charged for free by the sun. The pump circulates the water up to the fountain over and over, creating a beautiful sight and sound. Birds will love the fresh, moving water and your back yard will become their favorite hangout.

Another great feature is the ability to relocate solar bird bath fountains whenever you want. They are lightweight, generally 16-28 pounds, and have no electric or wiring to move. If you decide that your solar fountain really would look better in the middle of your flowerbed, go ahead and move it! You can’t do that with any other type of circulating water fountains, you have to be sure exactly where you want it, and never change your mind.

Let the sun power your solar bird fountain and stop using electricity. Every little bit we can do will help financially and help conserve energy.

I wish I could decorate __________ for the gathering, but there’s no electric there.

If I could just put Christmas lights on the trees and bushes, I wouldn’t have to climb a ladder to put lights on the roof.

Patio string lights get way too hot to string them on the ___________.

I would decorate that tree outdoors but I don’t want to trip over the electrical cord.

I don’t want to pay the high electric bill to decorate outside.

I can’t afford to pay the high electric bill to decorate outside.

Solar powered Party and Holiday String Lights with LED cool-to-the-touch bulbs are here to the rescue!

Solar string lights can be placed anywhere. Whether you prefer multi-colored solar string lights or elegant white holiday string lights for decoration, just place the solar panel attached to the string lights in the sun, and decorate to your heart’s content.

You can even decorate a special area inside your home for your party. Charge the solar string lights in the free sunlight outside for a couple of days, decorate that special area, and enjoy the warm glow of solar string lights all night long. If you want to enjoy them yourself during the season, set them outside again during each day to be re-charge by the sun.

Do you have a glass of wine, or exercise to relieve the tension, or eat to forget the events of the day and get rid of some of that stress that built up?

I have a totally natural, non-alcohol, no-calorie stress reliever for you to try…a Solar Bird Fountain. There is no better stress reliever than listening to a waterfall and birds singing.

Solar bird bath fountains can be installed anywhere that gets sun for 6-8 hours a day. There are also solar fountains that have a separate cord and solar panel that you can place in the sun and install your solar fountain in the shade. This makes it perfect to install on your deck, patio, in your flowerbeds, and even the balcony of your condo or apartment.

Most solar fountains are made from lightweight, weather-resistant resin, and weigh only between 16 and 28 pounds, so you don’t have to worry about the weight of the fountain on your deck or balcony. They need no electric outlet since they are completely powered by the sun. Every day the sun charges the solar panel, which powers the built-in water pump, which circulates the water up to the fountain, over and over again.

All you have to do to install the solar fountain is set it up, add water, turn it on, let the sun charge the solar panel, and you have instant, glorious sounds of water flowing.

Once the birds in your neighborhood find out you bought them a new solar bird fountain, the word will spread and you can add that bird singing to your daily relaxation.

A solar bird fountain really is a great addition to your yard, deck or balcony. It will add beauty, ambiance, and tranquility while relieving that daily stress naturally. Enjoy your bird bath fountain at the end of your day so you’ll be ready to take on the new day tomorrow.

Firepots and Personal Tabletop Fireplace Lanterns add a beautiful, glowing ambiance to any setting. Depending on the style of firepot or flame lantern you purchase, you can turn an evening romantic, fun, or even mystical. You can also turn the evening very ugly if the use and care directions on operating a firepot and personal fireplace are not followed and someone gets injured or starts a fire.

As with any fire related product, firepots are safe as long as proper care and use are taken when using them. Follow all labels, instructions and warnings during use, and do not throw away labels and directions with the packaging.

Natures Solar Lights offers only one type of gel fuel at this time, Real Flame gel fuel cans and pourable gel fuel. Real Flame has sold gel fuel products for nearly 30 years, and has an outstanding safety record.

Real Flame’s gel fuel is an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) based canned or pour gel product, which burns with an easy-to-see vivid orange flame. That also helps you avoid pouring gel fuel on an existing fire, which could cause the fire to flash or flare. This exclusive premium alcohol-based gel fuel blend requires no ventilation, no chimney, no gas hookups and no electricity to use. It is safe to use indoors or outdoors, except for Citronella, the mosquito repellent for outdoors only.

Following a series of severe accidents in this last year, some involving firepots, the following actions were taken:

Napa Home and Garden recalled their products

Other gel fuel manufacturers (not Real Flame) pulled certain gel fuels from shelves

These products and companies are being investigated for safety issues

Real Flame’s products were not involved in any of the accidents, nor were any of Real Flame’s products recalled. Real Flame’s special formulation of gel fuel is exclusive to their company, and has never resulted in any injuries or safety related incidents during their 27 years in business.

Firepots and personal tabletop fireplace lanterns should never do harm to people or property if used correctly. Here are some of the instructions for safety when using Real Flame, or any other fire related product:

Always follow all labels, instructions and warnings when using any gel fuel can or pourable product. Do not throw away labels and directions with the packaging.

Do not add fuel of any sort to an existing fire for any reason. Lighting or adding gel fuel to a firepot before it has properly cooled can result in injury.

Never add fuel to a reservoir when it is already burning or hot in order to keep it burning.

Firepots must cool a minimum of 20 minutes after the fire has burned out before adding additional gel fuel and lighting it again.

Always use the snuffer or metal lid, included with your ceramic fire pot, to extinguish the flame. Never attempt to blow out the flame.

Since most fires are hard to see toward the end of a burn, take extreme care to ensure the flame is out and the firepot is cool before handling, moving or refilling.

Do not leave burning firepots or flame lanterns unattended.

As with any fire related product, always place your firepots or flame lanterns out of the reach of children and pets before lighting them.

Never burn a firepot on or near anything that could catch fire.

Never move a burning firepot.

Fill the reservoir right before use, and burn immediately after filling.

Do not let gel fuel sit in reservoir if you are not going to burn it immediately.

Allow the firepot to burn to the bottom, until the gel fuel is completely burned out, and again, let it cool a minimum of 20 minutes before refilling.

If you extinguish the fire pot before the gel fuel is gone, DO NOT save the fuel for future use. Dump, wash and dry before refilling.

Use warm water and dishsoap to clean your firepot and reservoir, never use harsh chemicals.

In case of an accidental fire, use baking powder or a dry chemical fire extinguisher to extinguish a gel fuel fire. Do not attempt to pat the fire out or throw water on it.

When you read this list and think about it, every single point makes sense and should be automatically handled this way by anyone. However, when parties are in process and everyone is having a good time, it is important that you, as the host or as the wise guest, keep a watch on the firepots and the other guests to avoid an accident if they forget about “safety first”.

Ceramic fire pots and tabletop personal fireplace lanterns are so beautiful to display and watch as the flames flicker. If you want to enjoy the flame burning and flickering throughout the entire party, buy more than one, and have the additional fire pots on the ready to use as the initially lit fire pots burn down. Enjoy your firepots and flame lanterns as they were meant to be, and always remember, common sense and safety first.

We now need to think upside down and do the same with our patio, deck and walkways.

Recessed solar lights illuminate your deck and patio without getting in the way of traffic and causing a tripping problem. Place the solar deck lights in the corners, or by the steps, and receive all of the glow you will need at night while enjoying the stars and your guests. Less than a 4″ hole cut into your deck will recess the fixtures and keep the solar step lights in place.

These solar lights are also beautiful and unobtrusive when used to light the sidewalk or path leading to your deck, patio or front entrance to your home. Just 1 1/2″ high, your guiding light will appear to come straight from the ground. The solar lights are low enough to not interfere with a lawn mower, and you will enjoy the clean look during the day.

Made of stainless steel, our recessed solar deck lights are durable and will retain their beauty for years to come. The LED bulbs last up to 100,000 hours, so no more changing light bulbs. And best of all, no electrical wiring is needed, and no monthly energy cost will show up on your electric bill.

Visit Natures Solar Lights and enjoy the safety of no more tripping, and the attractive, clean look of recessed solar step and deck lights.

Even in a stand-along desert landscape, the beautiful, intricate detail on solar lighthouses will be an outstanding garden feature and piece of artwork.

A solar powered lighthouse is an incredible 36″ tall, with a base of approximately 8″. With a weight of nearly 20 pounds, it will not blow over on normal windy days. For those hurricane wind times, the solar lighthouse does have a manual on/off switch, so you can place it inside and not worry about draining the rechargeable batteries that store the sun’s energy.

Place the solar charged lighthouse, with its built-in solar panel, anywhere that gets sun for at least 6 hours a day, and it will stay lit for 8-10 hours each night. Add beauty and the warm glow of 3 LED amber solar lights to your seating area, gazebo, wishing well, next to your pond, or in the midst of your flowerbeds.

The solar charged lighthouse garden decor comes in 3 different colors to match anyone’s decor or plants: Gray Stone, Brown and Ivory, and Green and Ivory.

Add even more amazement and conversation with solar dog and animal sculptures, or solar garden decor seashells and statues to place strategically around your solar powered lighthouse.

Purchase your solar lights and works of art at Natures Solar Lights. We always have coupon codes on site for your use when purchasing.

It really is not their fault, they did not know the gate was there, or forgot it was so close, and who could see it at night anyway? Give them and your repair bill budget a break by installing solar traffic warning lights to avoid gate crashers coming to your party.

Generally, drivers will stop, or at least slow down, when they see red and/or yellow flashing warning lights in front of them. That will be such an appreciated view by not only you, but the driver who really does not want your gate crashing into their vehicle either.

Solar flashing gate lights will install onto just about any surface you have, whether it is flat or round, or an angled installation and lift, swing or slide gates. All you need is a marker pen for the screw hole positions and a screwdriver for the “on” switch and the 2-4 screws which are included. Mount the solar traffic warning lights at least 3′ apart and you have almost instant security for your traffic gate. Almost instant since the solar security lights do need a full day of free charging by the sun.

The solar warning lights use LED bulbs which last up to 100,000 hours, so bulb replacement cost is a thing of the past.

Do make sure that the solar traffic barrier warning lights are installed where the sun will charge them, and one of those glarry electric lights is not right overhead. Once charged, the solar warning lights will flash for 12-20 nights without getting another charge from the sun, depending on the model purchased.

Safeguard yourself and your barrier gates with these solar traffic barrier gate lights from Natures Solar Lights.

Seriously, have you never had to find the nearest tree facility in the middle of that dark, moonless night? Or heard the rustling of leaves and branches that at least needed to be peeked at?

A solar lantern will give you light when you need it. When you don’t want any light, flip the on/off switch to off and you will again have your dark skies and stars. This gives you the security of always having light available for whatever comes up. It will also make chores like cooking before dawn or after sunset much easier when you can actually see what you are doing.

Solar camping lanterns with LED bulbs will provide a soft glow on those nights that are too warm for a cozy campfire, or when there are campfire restrictions for your campground. A solar LED lantern will light up the faces of your family and guests for you to see their reaction as you tell your best fish tale or scary story.

Since these are also solar hanging lights, and extremely easy to carry, it can make that trip to the tree facility, leave early with you for that pre-dawn fishing hole excursion, or circle your camping area with light if you choose. When day breaks, the solar panel will be recharged by the sun, and ready for tonight’s lighting needs.

Check out the basic black or colorful solar camping lanterns at Natures Solar Lights and add the security of light to your camping and boating trips.

The fact is though, they are all very understandable, and this blog will be no different. Outdoor solar lights are the easiest lighting to install and maintain.

The first thing you need to decide on is the location, the number of solar lights you plan to install, and the brightness that you want to achieve. Always make sure there is enough sunlight to properly charge each solar light throughout the day, which will give you plenty of hours of light at night. I can’t help you with these decisions unless you want to fly me out to look at your place personally. I can definitely look at pictures and make suggestions if you do want some help.

The style of outdoor solar lights you choose should always be complimentary to your home and landscape. If you have modern architecture, stainless steel with simple lines may be your best choice. With the various heights available for solar landscape lights, it can be very fun to choose different complimentary styles to add interest throughout your outdoor world.

Solar path lights and solar lamp posts generally have more LEDs in each light fixture, and will give you more illumination at night. These work very well along walkways, driveways and borders when you want to install the fixture more than 4′ apart.

Solar garden lights have generally one to two LEDs and give off a wonderfully soft glow at night. These outdoor solar lights go anywhere that gets enough sun during the day. Your choices are vast and include solar pole lights, dogs, butterflies and dragonflies, garden stake lights, ladybugs, mushrooms, and so many more. They are perfect to scatter among your flower beds and landscape plants to accent their beauty at night. If the style of solar light you choose has one to two LEDs, and your plan is to use them along your walkways, do put them a touch closer together to create enough illumination.

Figure out your outdoor solar light design before installing them. Flip the on/off switch on the light fixture to “on”, install the post first, place the solar light fixture onto the post, and let the sun do the rest. How easy was that!

Keep the solar panel clear of leaves and such, gently wipe off the solar panel cover with water only, no chemicals, about once a month, and enjoy opening up your electric bill, knowing that your solar lights at night do not cost you a penny more than what you paid to purchase them.

Check out and purchase all of your outdoor solar lights at Natures Solar Lights.

Solar lights are beautiful, inexpensive, convenient to use, easy to install, and virtually maintenance free. The fact that solar landscape lights produce plenty of soft natural illumination without using electricity is an added benefit. Throw in the environmentally friendly aspect and you’ve got a winning combination for your home and property.

Solar lights are dependent on the solar panel system constructed into each light. As the sun energizes the solar panel battery, the solar lights store the sun’s energy that will be utilized at night. A sensor determines when the light should come on. The amount of sunlight reaching each solar landscape light determines how much energy is stored, and how long the lights will work during the night. If a solar light is in full sunlight throughout the daytime, it will generally burn for 8 to 12 hours after the sun goes down. Green energy at its best!

Place solar lights where they’ll get plenty of sun. Avoid setting them under trees and bushes, behind fences that will block mid-day sun, or in other spots where the sunlight will be blocked. The garden is the perfect location and solar garden lights will illuminate throughout the night. Set solar garden lights on the edges of your plantings to discourage nocturnal vegetable thieves from raiding your growing crop.
